Intention

  • Practice deep hamstring opening and thoughtful counterposes.
  • Prepare for bound posture with external rotation of the hips and internal rotation of the shoulders.
  • Offer bound variations of various poses to open the shoulders through internal rotation in preparation for the peak pose, Svarga Dvijasana (Bird of Paradise).
  • Invite movement in circular patterns, bringing fluidity into the standing postures.

Whereas we often give meaning to and intellectualize our emotions, the sacral chakra is a generator of raw emotion or energy in motion.
